Publishing the monitoring report to the client
The client never sees your work in progress: they see what you publish. Publishing the monitoring report freezes its figures and its PDF; the client finds them in their space, Monitoring and Documents tabs, and you see when they opened it.
What it is for
Step ⑤ Report of the Monitoring module has the layout of the plan's Report page: on the left, the Report contents and Share with the client; on the right, the preview of the PDF actually produced; top right, Download the Excel file and Download the PDF; below, The accountant’s note.
- The monitoring report: one A4 page in the firm's theme, in the chosen Report language. It carries the ticked sections: The essentials in 4 figures (revenue, EBITDA and profit before tax year to date, cash at the end of the period, each against the plan), Your accountant's note, Income statement · plan and actual, Landing and advance payments, Cash. The Appendix · detailed variances — the flagged lines, account by account — is unticked by default; ticked, it adds a page. The open points of step ② are listed in it. The Excel file, a working document, stays complete, with live formulas.
- The accountant's note: your text, saved automatically — the same as the Comment for the client of step ③. Suggest a draft writes factual sentences drawn from the monitoring figures, which you rewrite freely.
- The publication: Publish the monitoring report sends exactly the preview's PDF and its figures to the client space. Also send by e-mail, ticked by default, sends “Your monitoring report is ready”, on behalf of the firm, without any figure.
Steps
- Open Monitoring, step ⑤ Report. Choose the Report language if it differs from the file's.
- In Report contents, tick or untick the sections: the preview updates, and the choice is kept with the file's monitoring.
- Write The accountant’s note, or click Suggest a draft and then rewrite it.
- Review the preview; Download the PDF or Download the Excel file to send them yourself.
- In Share with the client, leave Also send by e-mail ticked, or untick it; then click Publish the monitoring report and confirm with Publish. Publishing the same period again creates a new version; the old one remains.
- Under the button, each version states its trial balance, its date and its author, then “Viewed by … on …” once the client has opened it; the Trial balance history repeats it on the trial balance.

In her space, the bakery's director opens the Monitoring tab on her phone. At the top, Estimated profit for the financial year (before tax): €94,901.51, against €104,101.51 in the plan — the year-end forecast of the method used. Then the same 4 figures, the accountant's note, the upcoming tax payment and Download the report (PDF). The same PDF is in the file's Documents tab: “Monitoring report”, its version, and “New” until she has opened it. Everything comes from the publication: nothing is recalculated on the client's side.

Fiplan convention (rapport.ts, publier_suivi): the publication is a snapshot — the figures shown and the PDF, produced by the same calculation, kept in private storage; the “Your monitoring report is ready” e-mail goes out on behalf of the firm, without figures, only if the box is ticked; the client sees the latest publication of each of their files in the Monitoring tab, and every report published in the Documents tab, for as long as their access is live.
